Jessie was born and raised in Hobart, before moving to Canberra to study a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra, graduating in 2018. Since finishing university, Jessie has worked at private practices across both Hobart and Melbourne, where she was able to work with clients of various backgrounds and ages.
Jessie played soccer for 18 seasons, representing Tasmania and Australia on several occasions as a youth player. She made the switch to AFL five years ago, after being signed as a rookie with the Tasmanian North Melbourne Kangaroos for their inaugural season. She has spent the past three seasons playing with Hawthorn, and most recently Port Melbourne, in the VFLW. Jessie has also played high level touch football, futsal and tennis in the past. She spends her free time watching sport, looking at dog videos on social media and talking sport and physio with her partner, who is also a physiotherapist.
