What is an Exercise Physiologist (EP)?
Exercise Physiologists are university-qualified allied health professionals. They specialise in designing, delivering and managing safe and effective exercise interventions for people with chronic conditions, injuries or disabilities, as well as creating exercise programs for the general population.
Who can see an EP?
An Exercise Physiologist creates tailored, evidence-based programs to support you and your individual goals. Whether you would like advice or ongoing treatment for a chronic condition, assistance with injury recovery, or help with exercising for long-term health.
Conditions an EP can help with
Musculoskeletal injury, Neurological conditions, Cardiovascular disease, Chronic pain, Disability and NDIS, Osteoporosis or osteopenia, Arthritis, Spinal cord injury, Mental health, Cancer recovery, Metabolic conditions, Falls risk, Hypermobility, Chronic fatigue, and more.
What services can an EP provide?
At AllCare, Exercise Physiology can be used for multiple different services depending on your condition, ability and goals. An initial assessment is the first step, where we get to know you, understand your background and medical history, and your current function.
Services available include:
- Regular and ongoing bookings for exercise rehabilitation sessions
- Individualised Exercise Programs for home or gym use
- Classes (see classes page for more info)
